MCS - IP Technology

Our technology isn't that important to our clients.  What's most important is that with MCS they now have a powerful business quality phone system with great features and no headaches.  Throw in high-speed Internet AND incredible savings and who cares how it works.  Well, we do,  And we'd like to tell you a little about it - so you can tell everyone you know about the best thing in business communications today.

To start with, local access loops (one or more T-1 circuits) are provisioned to meet the client’s individual needs.  A T-1 can transmit 1.5Mbps of voice and data traffic.  Phone and Internet services are delivered over the same local loop access circuit using the Internet Protocol (IP). The circuit is dynamically allocated between voice and Internet (not an integrated T!) so when clients are not speaking on the phone, the entire bandwidth is available for Internet access.  There's no commitment of unused lines to voice. Voice traffic will always have priority over data for consistently high call quality.

Phone calls are delivered using Voice-over-IP on a dedicated T-1 connection between Reynwood and the client premise while being managed and controlled from our Datacenter facilities.  That means MCS calls DO NOT travel over the public Internet, but are converted and transmitted over the traditional telephone network at Reynwood’s own datacenters.  Internet traffic is routed over our own high-speed data network to its destination on the Internet.

The technology enables us to fully manage your phone system and features off premise.  That means, no more headaches for the client in maintaining old PBX systems or managing changes and high costs.  But if you really want to keep your old phones and system, we can integrate with it so you can still enjoy some of the great benefits and savings we have to offer.  In any case, you can keep the same numbers that you have today.  Finally...

  • As part of the MCS offering, Reynwood installs, manages, and maintains an appropriate Integrated Access Device (IAD) at your network’s edge.

  • Dynamic, high-speed connectivity with direct connections to over 140 peer networks ensures 99.999% reliability.

  • Dedicated, carrier-grade circuits, Cisco Gateways and redundant Sun Servers guarantee the call quality business clients are accustomed to.
